Recurrent Dislocation

This occurs when the condyle "pops" out of the jaw joint socket and needs to be manually positioned by hand back into the correct position. This often needs the help of a clinician in an emergency department or a medical or dental office.

Recurrent dislocation over a short period is often painful and debilatating for a patient and the patient may elect a surgical option for treatment.

TMJ arthroscopy is one of many procedures that can be employed in management of Recurrent TMJ dislocation as shown below. We use this to precisely scar up certain areas inside the TMJ as seen from the video.

Other options include autologous blood injections and open surgery
